Rustic Adventure - 4 - 8 days

Walking Down to the Hossack

Walking Down to the lunch spot in the valley

Kate has developed a spectacular 4 day trail from Mt Lyford to Hanmer Springs with the option of returning over mainly different trails to make an epic 8 day trip. We ride through eleven working high country properties along this trail and I would like to acknowledge the generosity of the land owners who allow us to ride for miles through their farms.

This trail is the same for the Luxury Horse Trek, the Homestead to Homestead trip and the Rustic Adventure. The Luxury option involves you staying with Lisa and Chris at Amuri Estate Retreat who pamper you with hot spas and 4 course dinners each night. The Homestead option sees you staying in different historic homesteads along the way, enjoying genuine home cooked meals and some time with the land owners. The Rustic Adventure Ride is more basic. We stay in huts, and a camp, cook our own food, which is provided, and sleep in sleeping bags.

We have a warm up afternoon at Mt Lyford with a partnering up session and an afternoon ride with your horse to prepare you thoroughly for your adventure ahead.

The trail begins at Mt Lyford with the first day of the Lottery River Overnight trip, and then keeps going on to Hanmer Springs! It has varied terrain and some impressive surprises

Information

All multi-day horse treks begin the day before the main trek with a half day warm up session (2.00pm to 5.30pm).

Myself along with my team look forward to making this the best high country horse experience ever for you.
