This ride is an
easy 2 hour ride over some trails through the Mt Lyford
Alpine Village, and back down an alternative
route through the Village. This trail gives you an up
front look at the log cabins and houses in the Village.
We have views of Mt Lyford and Mt Terako, and views down
to the Waiau river basin, and west to Kaikoura. We
climb to about 2,500 feet, and follow tracks off the
road for most of the way. There are some 60 log homes
in the Village.
